The Living Word Children’s Home is located in a rural area of East Seme Ward, Seme Sub-County, Kisumu County, Kenya, North, several Km off of Hwy C27.
There is no electric service in the area and the permanent staff have to walk or catch a passing motor bike back to the Hwy to charge their cell phones. Water is provided by both a well and rain water stored in tanks.
The previous well was about 20 ft deep & would dry up half the year. Recently and thankfully for donations by concerned people internationally, we were able to deepen the well to 40 ft, which so far seems to be providing water all year.
